Poor Mexican Children receiving dispensas from Grupo Madre Teresa BCS

The Grupo Madre Teresa BCS is the last resort for assistance for the truly desperate. We connect distressed families to resources they desperately need. No one is turned away.

The Grupo Madre Teresa is a Mexican nondenominational, non-profit organization that provides a variety of essential services to some of the most vulnerable members of the rural Mexican society in El Pescadero, Baja California Sur.

For over six years, The Grupo Madre Teresa has served the community of El Pescadero, providing weekly deliveries of food staples to the most vulnerable residents along with medical care, clothing, and other resources.

Many families live in the back-country and mountainous areas surrounding the town, leaving them very isolated. With the onset of Covid-19, more than 200 families have become fully dependent on the organization. Because there is no work, there is no food, no home, no clothing.

WHO WE SERVE

In a coastal farming area of Baja Sur, the village of El Pescadero sits on the Pacific Ocean about an hour north of Los Cabos. It is a humble community made up of Rancheros and fishermen with ancestry that dates back to pre-Columbian civilization…
